bluemoon

'Blue Moon' sung by Billy Holiday....and then Frank Sinatra: absolutely fabulous.

This piece reminds me of graphics for the backing on a deck of cards...Tarot or otherwise:  images stirred (like a Martini) and then in a whirl splashing out....Or...

Japanese (kimono?) graphics, which are so amazing. Of course, Japanese Art has played a very important part in Western Art.

Patterning that at the same time tells a story. Graphics. Fascinating.

Also, I note...the graphic for 'Salome' by Aubrey Beardsley is amazing ....it somehow in a solitary image captures the drama and the beauty of that story. Oscar Wilde is known for many things....his humour being paramount but also the tragedy of the times he personally lived and suffered because of...but besides such absolutely fantastic comedies as 'The Importance of Being Earnest' which is always - i mean always - a good laugh...he wrote one-act plays such as 'Salome' and even in these times....they hit home and make you think. You have to do a bit of ignoring ads in this link....but it is a well wrougt play.
