I once had a math teacher who wore curtains as dresses and who told me that 'the part in my hair upset her geometrical balance' before she even knew my name.

I have no trouble with decision making; however some decisions turn out best with  time and contemplation. You can plant a garden but it doesn't always grow to intent or intention. It takes effort, appreciation, and knowledge that mistakes will occur. Nature is endlessly surprising and inspiring: developing a sense of humour is priceless.
I love making marks on paper and the vibrancy of inks occasionally accompanied by the subtleties of watercolour. I understand the formal qualities of a finished piece, but strive for playfulness in that spectrum. I always want to leave room for the viewer's interpretation.

Note: a very dear friend (who was also a brainiac) wrote in my yearbook "E=MC² because God said so". This is due to my relationship with the above Math teacher referred to above...and gave me a chuckle which I obviously remember to this day. The point being that the magic of mathematics was ruined for me by said teacher (at that time in my life) because I had the audacity to ask 'why?' when she just wanted me to conform to the rules. If you are interested in a basic description of 'why?' please refer to:

PS at present there is an advert on that page for a legal firm, that also has given me a laugh. It has two photos:  the Canadian flag on the left and a much larger USian flag on the right. The caption states "Moving to the US is easier than you think"...a chuckle in so many directions.
