Jade's value is both in its visual earthy lustre and for what it represents in cultures worldwide. It is both practical and beautiful and has throughout history been used for tools, weaponry, ceremonial and decorative purposes. There is an element of mystery and the sacred to this gemstone. Throughout the years it has become inseparable from intrinsic cultural beliefs in benevolence, protection, continuality, virtue, wisdom and clarity.
